A renewable energy developer with offices across the Pacific Northwest and Southwest is seeking a Structured Finance Associate to support the execution of clean energy transactions. The firm has successfully developed over $200 million in solar assets and maintains a multi-billion-dollar pipeline including solar, wind, storage, and transmission-related projects. The organization works closely with utilities and public power authorities in regulated markets, and is known for its technical strength and mission-driven culture.

Position Summary:

The Structured Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting the execution of project-level financings, including debt and tax equity transactions for renewable energy infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, transaction support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful project financing outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 2–5 years of experience in structured finance or project finance to contribute to the energy transition in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supports the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project finance and tax equity transactions for utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
• Develops and maintains detailed financial models to assess deal structures, investor returns, and sensitivity scenarios.
• Conducts financial due diligence in collaboration with internal stakeholders and third-party advisors.
• Coordinates with development, legal, engineering, and operations teams to gather and validate critical data inputs for financing processes.
• Prepares investment memoranda and presentation materials for both internal decision-making and external stakeholders.
• Tracks financial performance at both the project and portfolio level post-financing.
• Assists in the management of key relationships with lenders, tax equity investors, and financial institutions.
• Monitors trends and developments in renewable energy finance, tax equity markets, and capital structuring.
• Provides financial structuring support for responses to RFPs and pricing strategies.
• Contributes to capital stack optimization strategies across the organization’s clean energy development pipeline.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
• 2–5 years of experience in project finance, structured finance, investment banking, or renewable energy transactions.
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel; familiarity with VBA or Python is a plus.
• Understanding of tax equity structures, debt financing, and renewable energy incentives preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information to varied audiences.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated by sustainability, infrastructure investment, and the energy transition.
