Project Engineer(Solar)

Zodiac Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer (Solar) to manage solar energy projects in India. Responsibilities include overseeing project planning, execution, coordination with clients and teams, and ensuring compliance with design and safety standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Gurukul, Ahmedabad.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:
• Oversee the technical aspects of solar energy projects, including design, engineering, and implementation.
• Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure solar systems are delivered on time and within budget.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Review project specifications, scopes, and contracts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Project Coordination:
• Act as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Monitor project progress, identifying any issues that may impact timelines or costs and providing solutions.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for solar system installations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.

Design and Technical Support:
• Assist in the design, development, and review of solar PV systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Perform detailed site assessments and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Ensure designs are optimized for performance, cost, and energy efficiency.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Ensure all solar installations are compliant with industry standards, safety regulations, and local codes.
• Implement quality control measures and ensure the installation meets all specifications and performance expectations.
• Lead safety audits and promote a culture of safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare regular progress reports for internal teams and clients, including financial updates, risk assessments, and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, permits, and approvals.
• Ensure proper commissioning of solar systems, and prepare as-built documentation and operations manuals.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of [3+] years of experience in solar project engineering or related fields.
• Knowledge of solar energy systems, including PV (photovoltaic) technology, electrical engineering, and grid integration.
• Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Strong understanding of local, national, and international building codes and regulations for solar installations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
