Moss is seeking a Solar Project Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, FL, responsible for reviewing and aligning digital files and drawings across various engineering disciplines. POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Solar Project Engineer will work in concert with Engineering Management teams to ensure that all digital files and drawings are aligned across different disciplines. This position will be responsible for reviewing drawings from multiple engineers along with CAD files.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review of electrical, civil, and mechanical drawings to ensure alignment across all disciplines
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts on what level of detail is needed in drawing sets and what design items are acceptable vs not acceptable
• Communicate drawing conflicts to Engineering Management and Construction Teams
• Responsible for importing points and overlaying CAD files from different engineers to ensure that there are no conflicts
• Review of drawing details to make sure that all pertinent information is present and legible
• Read technical articles and attend solar PV training to stay informed with the latest design methodologies in the utility scale market
• Attend site visits to assess, notate and capture site photos of existing conditions to aid in understanding of how different assemblies are constructed
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong coordination, problem solving, documentation, and data entry skills
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, a plus
• Knowledge of utility scale solar energy systems, a plus
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software’s, a plus
