Job Description

LVI Associates is seeking a Project Engineer (Power & Renewables) in California for a leading EPC firm. The role requires 5-10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in civil or electrical backgrounds, focusing on transmission utility projects and renewable energy. Key skills include AutoCAD proficiency and project management understanding. Candidates must be based in the US and have a degree in engineering. This is a full-time position.
Our client is a West Coast leading EPC firm with a footprint in the commercial, industrial and utility sector. Having been around for several decades and with a large backing, they take pride in their ability to operate at their size all while still having a close knit company culture.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Civil or Electrical background preferred) that has experience working on transmission utility projects & is eager to apply their skills to renewable energy. As part of this department, you will be part of a team that performs all aspects of large-scale solar & battery energy storage and work as part of an in-house team of engineers & project managers.

Qualifications:
• 5-10+ years of engineering experience from an employer.
• Design experience in the layout, specification, and development of utility transmission projects.
• Has a firm understanding of the principles of Project Management and electrical transmission design.
• Proficinecy with AutoCAD and at least one other software (PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, PLS-POLE, etc.)
• Experience with substation design a huge plus.
• Preferred four year college degree in civil/structural, or electrical engineering.
• In order to be considered you must be based in the US with minimum 3 years of US experience. Applications will automatically be filtered if you aren't and don't meet those minimum requirements.
