This role involves leading well construction and solutions projects, managing project P&L, and ensuring project delivery excellence. They could ultimately be responsible for more than one project either in a supervisory role or in the direct supervision of a project. The Principal Project Manager Is accountable for the project P&L and leads all elements of Baker Hughes products and services, contracted parties as acts as the primary liaison for the client interface of the project.This position would include oversight of all stages of projects from planning through operational deployment and on through project closing. The project manager will drive “on-time” delivery, consistency, and service delivery excellence, all while maximizing the revenue, minimizing cost, and optimizing the timing of cash collection.The position reports in a matrix manner to the Integrated Solutions Regional Product Line Director or other designated manager. Additionally, the position will engage significantly with the Integrated Solutions Service delivery organization and individual product lines.This is a high-profile position with full business ownership, P&L responsibility, accountability, and decision making.As a Project Director - Integrated & Solutions, you will be responsible for:Oversight of all projects in operations and planning/mobilization.Act to support and advise for commercial build ups from a pricing, risk, and organizational perspective for new business opportunities.Directly manage multiple project managers operating on projects across Sub-Saharan Africa.Ensure appropriate alignment exists across product lines, account managers, technical teams, logistics, and project management organization.Responsible for total regional revenue and P&L management.Responsible for providing guidance and handling escalations from ongoing projects. Client management is a key function of the role.Advise and look for opportunities and risk on existing and new contracts and subcontracts.To be successful in this role you will:Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited university or relevant industry experience.Have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in relevant industry (wellbore construction, completions, wellbore intervention, P&A etc.) with a minimum of 5 years as a project manager. Well Control awareness is required. Well Control Certification would be an advantageExperience working on turnkey projects where Service Company provides end-to-end drilling, completion, logistics, and rig management services.Ability to forecast project costs, schedule, and inventory stock and report same to client Wells Delivery Manager.Experience managing contracts written under English lawMust be experienced managing change and assessing risk and financial implications of change, inclusive of managing Variation Requests.Having a good leadership, excellent interpersonal, influencing and planning skills will be considered necessary for this position.Have an excellent English oral and written communications skills, including ability to organize meetings and distributing accurate and succinct minutes of meetings.Be experienced needs to include managing multiple product line P&L (Profit and Loss management) and experience managing multiple simultaneous rig/site operations.Be skilled in functional use of MS Office Suite, with MS Project familiarity is required.Ability to manage, develop, coach and mentor high level teams across organizational boundaries is required.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification would be considered an advantage.Proven personnel development skills will be required in this role Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
