Project Director for Sustainable Design

Northern Impact is seeking a Project Director for Sustainable Design in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities include developing design strategies, providing technical input, coordinating projects, and mentoring professionals. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's preferred), 10+ years of experience in various project types, and a California architecture license. The position is full-time and requires knowledge of California Building Codes.
Key Responsibilities
Developing a thorough understanding of the project's design philosophy and providing major input in developing a design and building performance strategy.
Providing technical design input, taking responsibility for the project's technical design efforts, detailed design development, project coordination, and quality control during all phases, closely collaborating with the Senior Designer.
Mentoring emerging and recently licensed professionals within the practice group.
Seeking creative and innovative solutions, developing appropriate research, and documenting these solutions.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's degree preferred)
10+ years of professional experience with small-to-large scale project types, including Workplace/Commercial Interiors, Interior Architecture, Core and Shell projects, Adaptive Reuse (multiple program types), Hospitality, and Building Repositioning.
Architecture license in California required.
Current knowledge and use of California Building Codes.
Experience working with local Building & Safety offices (City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, and other regional municipalities).
