Circular Resourcing is seeking a Project Development Manager (Solar/BESS) to identify and develop utility-scale solar and battery storage projects in the UK. The role involves land acquisition, stakeholder management, and project oversight, requiring a proactive approach. Circular Resourcing are recruiting for a Project Development Manager with experience across Utility Scale Solar / Battery Storage for an established European Developer looking to grow in the UK.

They are looking for a pro-active Developer with a go-getter attitude to help them grow a pipeline here in the UK, working closely with them and their JV partner here.

The role could be permanent, or contract for the right candidate and can be based from anywhere in the UK.

Responsibilities:

Identify new potential utility-scale projects through various sources including utilizing a data-driven software-based approach to identify land to target. Oversee land acquisition efforts. Involvement in direct landowner negotiations, also managing external land agent partners. Represent the company to external/key stakeholders including local councils and government, officials, consultants, landowners. Manage all aspects of the project development process (land acquisitions, permitting, environmental studies, leading public hearing processes, creating and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders, etc). Work closely with internal company departments (engineering, finance, legal, operations) to identify and minimize project risks. Implement solutions to maximize project value. Work with technical team and external consultants to assist with the grid connection process.Create and manage project budgets and schedules.
