Job Description

LVI Associates is seeking a Project Development Manager in Stamford, CT, to oversee the lifecycle of distributed generation projects for a growing clean energy company. The role involves coordinating across departments, interfacing with stakeholders, evaluating project risks, and supporting development initiatives. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least 4 years of experience in renewable energy development. The position offers a salary of $140K–$160K per year.
We are partnered with a rapidly growing clean energy company that develops, owns, and operates distributed generation solar, storage, and EV infrastructure across the United States. With an expansive and diversified portfolio of solar assets in over two dozen states, this team is leading the transition to locally-sited clean power for commercial clients and residential communities.Backed by long-term strategic and financial partners in real estate and infrastructure, the organization is positioned for significant expansion and is looking to add a Development Manager to its dynamic and mission-driven team.Position OverviewThe Development Manager will be a key contributor to the full lifecycle of distributed generation projects. You will work across departments to support project execution, including permitting, interconnection, real estate, and environmental diligence.This role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment and has a solid understanding of the distributed energy landscape. You'll balance strategic thinking with execution, while supporting high-impact development initiatives across multiple energy markets.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support all aspects of project development from site control through NTP across a national portfolioCoordinate with internal teams (interconnection, legal, engineering, construction) to align development milestonesInterface with utilities, AHJs, landowners, and other external stakeholders to drive project progressEvaluate project risks and make recommendations on permitting, real estate, and regulatory issuesProvide input on project acquisition and redevelopment opportunitiesSupport cross-functional initiatives to improve and streamline the development processQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field4+ years of experience in renewable energy development, preferably in distributed generation (DG)Strong project management skills and a proven ability to drive projects to completionExperience negotiating with landowners, utilities, or permitting authoritiesFamiliarity with interconnection processes, real estate documentation, and local permitting pathwaysStrong written and verbal communication skills
