We’re working with a pioneering company at the forefront of clean energy innovation. Backed by years of R&D and strong investment. This startup is bringing groundbreaking technology into the real world — a system that produces carbon-neutral natural gas directly from solar power and air.

Now, they’re ready to scale — starting with a major site build in the Mojave Desert — and they’ve asked us to help find a crucial hire - Project Development Manager.

We're looking for the right human, that could be someone with 2-3 years experience or 20+ years experience. The type of person you are and the type of things you've done are key here.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to take full ownership of a first-of-its-kind infrastructure project — from permitting and land acquisition to hands-on contractor coordination. You’ll work closely with the founders and technical team to drive project success from blueprint to reality.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Leading end-to-end project development for a new test site — including permitting, land, vendors, and construction ops.
• Coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, fast, and efficient execution.
• Removing roadblocks across permitting offices, schedules, or supply chains — no bureaucracy here.
• Building systems and repeatable processes that scale beyond a single site.
• Working shoulder-to-shoulder with a mission-driven team focused on speed, impact, and sustainability.
• Most projects will be local(ish) to LA County with some further afield.

About You
• Proven project development experience in construction, infrastructure, or industrial project delivery — especially in early-stage or fast-paced environments.
• Experience in California - we need you to know how to get stuff done in Cali.
• Comfortable navigating zoning, permitting, and sub-contracting.
• Able to manage stakeholders and field operations with confidence and independence.
• Entrepreneurial mindset — thrives on autonomy, owns outcomes, and keeps momentum up.
• Big Bonus: familiarity with getting renewable projects done.
