Phillip Riley, a specialist recruiter in the renewable energy sector, is working on behalf of a leading IPP to find a Project Developer or Development Manager in Brisbane, Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on utility-scale wind, battery and solar projects from feasibility to Final Investment Decision (FID) throughout QLD, Australia.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a key role on the team, supporting more senior team members on their projects at various stages of development and learning as you go. If you have the experience to take on a project of your own that is a possibility.
• Project Development & Planning – Drive project initiation, manage environmental approvals and collaborate with technical teams on procurement, design, and grid connection.
• Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement – Liaise with government bodies, landowners, and communities to secure project support and maintain social license.
• Project Management & Risk Mitigation –Oversee project timelines, reporting, risk management, and investment approvals.

What We’re Looking For - Required

✅ A Bachelor/Master in Engineering, Commerce, Science, Planning, Property or Law.

✅ Driven professional with 2+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector (QLD wind farm development experience preferred; Australian utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS also considered). Candidates with a background in land management, planning, engineering, or commercial roles with direct experience in renewable energy projects could be a good fit.

✅ Strong knowledge of project management - GIS skills are a plus

✅ Full driver's licence & ability to travel regionally every 2nd week.

✅ Full professional proficiency in English.

✅ Based in Brisbane.
