NES Fircroft is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Manager with 10+ years of experience to lead and oversee project controls across a portfolio of major capital mining projects. This leadership role will see you drive the integration of cost, schedule, risk, and performance reporting functions to support the successful execution of complex, multi-disciplinary developments for one of Australia’s leading mining operators.
Your Responsibilities:
• Lead the full suite of project controls activities including cost control, planning & scheduling, earned value management, and risk analysis.
• Develop and maintain integrated control systems to ensure consistent project tracking, forecasting, and governance.
• Mentor and manage a high-performing team of cost controllers and planners to drive accuracy, accountability, and performance.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders across project delivery, engineering, finance, and supply chain to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead monthly reporting cycles, variance analysis, and performance reviews to maintain alignment with business objectives and project milestones.
What You’ll Bring:
• 10+ years’ experience in project controls leadership, preferably within mining or large-scale infrastructure or oil & gas projects.
• Deep expertise in cost engineering, scheduling (Primavera P6), EVM, and risk management frameworks.
• Proven track record in managing project controls teams on multi-billion-dollar capital projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
• Ability to provide executive-level insights through advanced reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CCP, or AACE accreditation highly regarded.
