Project Architect - Retail and Hospitality

NewStudio Architecture is seeking a highly skilled and experienced architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a self-directed individual with excellent communication skills, someone who is well organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work independently. While this role will touch a variety of project types in the office, the primary focus is expected to be retail and hospitality(restaurant) architecture.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with clients’ internal design, planning, and construction teams.
• Develop creative design solutions that meet client needs and project goals.
• Work efficiently within project deadlines.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and specifications based on clients’ design intent packages.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• When necessary, conduct site visits to ensure quality and adherence to design intent.

Qualifications:
• Professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• Professional architectural registration preferred (or licensure in progress)
• Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience.
• Experience with retail and restaurant projects, both interior tenant improvement and ground up new construction.
• Strong design and technical skills – Proficiency in Revit & Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with SketchUp and the Adobe Suite
• Excellent understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
• Experience in project management and client relations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience in construction administration.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
