Job Description

Federation University Australia is hiring a full-time Program Manager for Renewable Energy and Engineering at their Ballarat campus. The role involves leading teaching staff, managing program delivery, and ensuring quality education and student experiences. Candidates should have strong leadership skills, knowledge of VET regulatory requirements, and experience in vocational education. The position requires a valid Working With Children Check.
Provide leadership and management of activities of staff delivering teaching programs within Renewable Energy and Engineering.

About the role

You will be responsible for multiple program areas, providing leadership and management of activities to staff delivering teaching programs within Renewable Energy and Engineering. In addition, you will have accountability for delivery of quality education, positive student experiences and customer outcomes.

You will:
• lead a multi-disciplinary teaching team to achieve excellence in teaching and learning;
• manage recruitment, induction, probation, 'Your growth matters' Workday based performance review process for staff;
• lead and manage the planning, delivery, assessment and evaluation of VET programs; and
• manage the day-to-day planning, scheduling, development, implementation and delivery of programs.

About you

You will possess professional knowledge and a strong understanding of regulatory and contractual requirements in the VET sector with considerable experience in effective leadership and management of staff. In addition, you will have demonstrated ability to lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, customised, high quality vocational education and training.

You will possess demonstrated:
• knowledge and application of Training and Assessment Strategies;
• ability to propose and implement a range of programs / courses for future delivery;
• ability to manage and monitor budgets and contribute to commercial targets; and
• understanding and application of the ASQA's RTO standards and proven ability to meet these standards in an operational setting.
