JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: PROGRAM MANAGER
CLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME/ SALARY/ EXEMPT
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Program Manager is the primary staff member responsible for job development, recruitment, outreach, and partnership development. In addition to some program delivery functions like resume building and work readiness training, the Program Manager conducts post program follow up and tracking.
REPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Outreach, Employer Engagement, and Partnership Development
· Primary staff member in charge of job development and employer engagement.
· Assists to formalize recruitment, outreach, retention, and placement plans for LAGC programs.
· Holds recruitment and information sessions for Louisiana Green Corps programs.
· In charge of placing students with appropriate business and community partners for internships.
· Seeks out ongoing recruitment avenues.
· Works to identify partnership and resource opportunities for the LAGC.
· Networks with agencies and employers doing business with LAGC programs.
· Seeks out new and complementary services for LAGC participants.
Program Delivery
· Assists with program design and development as appropriate.
· Oversees the intake and enrollment of participants in the program.
· Conducts some life skills and work readiness training as appropriate and oversees the contracted partners who facilitate work readiness components.
· Finds cost-effective ways to conduct business.
· Connects employers to Corps program participants during and after program sessions.
· Drives participants to training, interviews, and other events as needed.
· Assists with participant tracking, paperwork completion, background checks, and drug testing as needed.
· Conducts post-program follow-up phone calls and tracking notes for graduates and follow-up reports.
· Oversees and coordinates case management and placement of participants.
Administration
· Knows and carries out the published policies of the agency.
· Works with program staff to formalize and enforce policies and procedures according to grants.
· Submits reports in a timely manner.
· Completes other administrative duties as assigned.
Sustainability Planning
· Identifies strategic partnerships to leverage support.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Heavy: Lifting 100# maximum, frequent lifting and/or carrying of up to 50#; unrestricted walking and standing.
Very Heavy: Lifting greater than 100# occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50#; unrestricted walking and standing.
May require lifting from light to heavy.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associates Degree in Education, Business, Construction Management, Human Services, or related field. Bachelor’s or advanced degree preferred.
· At least two years’ experience in the workforce development field.
· At least two years of experience with program development and delivery.
· Valid Louisiana Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to use to attend meetings.
· Ability to drive a 16-passenger van.
· Ability to work independently in the field.
· Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and community partners.
· Excellent computer skills.
· Excellent verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Experience working with youth and/or adult learners a plus.
· Knowledge of green building, green and blue infrastructure, and or sustainable development industries a plus.
