We are currently seekinga Program Manager, Environmental Scientist to work in a technicalsupport role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in adynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing groupand company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range ofclients. This is a full-time position located in our Cincinnati,OH office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Inthis position, you will:
• Draw from your diverse experience to lead some of our most complex projects and programs and may lead teams of project managers and technical experts with a focus on delivery, quality, financial performance, and health and safety.
• Lead the development of team technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks.
• Balance management responsibilities with technical strategy and client advocacy, ensure project delivery aligns with professional standards and client expectations, and develop strong client relationships.
• Hold primary responsibility for the success of programs including project planning and execution, resourcing, schedule, and financial management.
• Collaborate closely to support project teams, providing oversight, observing health and safety processes and procedures, and developing a working understanding of our various consulting practice areas.
• Regularly and effectively communicate with clients, partners, subcontractors, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Apply situational leadership and emotional intelligence to facilitate management of diverse stakeholders and team members.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 16+ years of related work experience including direct project management experience.
• Ability to independently lead multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to details, and financial acumen.
• Proficient computer literacy skills including use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and the ability to learn various software needed to support financial management, diverse project needs, and client requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Broad environmental engineering experience that spans the entire project life cycle.
• Demonstrated competency with various environmental regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated competency and understanding of soil, groundwater and air treatment technologies.
Preferred Skills:
• Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 6+ years of project management and financial management experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project.
• Design and construction experience with environmental remediation projects.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.
