Job Description
Fincantieri Marine Group is seeking a full-time Program Financial Analyst II in Marinette, WI. The role involves financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and supporting business decisions. Key responsibilities include monthly reporting, variance analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and financial modeling. Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for Financial Analyst II at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for financial planning and analysis, business decision support, forecasting and budgeting; interfacing with other department leaders and all levels of the finance organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Support monthly reporting of cost center and business unit results.
• Perform variance analysis of monthly results including root cause analysis.
• Monitor and support cost saving initiatives and process improvements projects throughout the organization.
• Perform analysis of proposed business decisions and communicate findings, including make-buy analysis, cost-benefit justification, etc.
• Utilize financial modeling tools and improve existing model as needed to accomplish objectives and support decision-making.
• Develop and analyze financial and business KPI's as necessary to support company objectives.
• Work with other functions to create and maintain timely budgets and forecasts and any supporting reporting or monitoring required to drive accountability for achievement of business objectives.
• Assist Deputy Director of Program Finance or other finance staff with special assignments.
• Lead and support of other projects as periodically assigned.
• Support SAP transition from BAAN from data validation, user acceptance testing, and training, post go-live user support.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee's workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and at least 2 years related experience in financial analysis, auditing and/or accounting or other technical/professional services.
SKILLS:
• Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Demonstrates ability to provide support for effective business decisions, cost saving efforts, financial planning and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interface with all levels of employees effectively.
• Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Attention to details and able to manage large volumes of data, and conduct complex analysis.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
