About the position

The Program Coordinator position at the Louisiana Space Grant Consortium (LaSPACE) is an entry-level role focused on supporting various educational and outreach initiatives related to space and aerospace research. The coordinator will assist in managing programs that promote STEM education, student fellowships, internships, and public outreach throughout Louisiana, in collaboration with NASA and other educational institutions. This role involves administrative support, documentation, event planning, and outreach activities to enhance the mission of LaSPACE.

Responsibilities
• Monitor the LaSPACE email account and handle incoming phone calls, interfacing with stakeholders.
,
• Process incoming materials such as invoices and ensure accurate and timely processing of materials.
,
• Handle travel and procurement logistics for the program, assisting stakeholders with procurement and travel processes.
,
• Process proposals and project amendment requests, performing compliance checks and logging submissions.
,
• Assist in the dissemination and advancement of policy and strategic planning documents.
,
• Prepare subawardee documents and track invoices and reporting forms for subawardees.
,
• Collect and track data for NASA reporting and reporting to other stakeholders.
,
• Assist with planning and executing outreach events and meetings to further the program's mission.
,
• Assist the outreach coordinator with events like International Astronomy Day and LSU's 6th Grade Day.
,
• Assist in planning local, statewide, and national meetings.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field with one year of related experience.
,
• Basic proficiency in commonly used Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
,
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
,
• Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

• Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

• Ability to document existing and new processes.

• Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.
