The position will work with a collaborative team of civil engineers & geologists who focus on civil engineering program design & implementation, water resources and sustainability planning, hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, water quality modeling, BMP design, erosion and sediment control, municipal, industrial, and construction site risk analysis and permitting support.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis and modeling for municipal, industrial, and construction site projects;
• Plan and design of water resources projects including watershed planning, drainage improvements, best management practices (BMPs), erosion and sediment control, and stream rehabilitation/restoration;
• Prepare and oversee engineering computations including engineering drawings and technical specifications;
• Support projects driven by the CA Construction General Permit (CGP), CA Industrial General Permit (IGP), and local Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Permits;
• Con duct inspections, write reports, and prepare of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Water Quality Improvement Plans (WQIPs), and Waste Discharge Requirement (WDR) permits;
• Prepare and review technical documents including both writing and the creation of visual exhibits and maps;
• Act as assistant project manager and support proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, scope control, delegation;
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients while working in concert with both senior professionals and technical staff;
• Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and,
• Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
Education and Licensure
• Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
• Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (preferred)
• Professional Engineer license (i.e., P.E.). (preferred)
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
• At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Experience with modeling and design software tools such as HydroCAD, EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (required)
• Experience related to NPDES/MS4 permitting, CGP and IGP compliance (QSD or QISP), erosion and sediment control BMPs, and BMP design. (preferred)
• Experience conducting field investigations related to stormwater or erosion control. (preferred)
• Strong technical writing, project management, and communication skills. (required)
• Experience in project management, scoping, cost estimating, and scheduling. (preferred)
• Field work and overnight travel may be required.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
