Job Description
Airswift is seeking a Production Support Engineer in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. The role involves ensuring safe production delivery, mentoring fellow engineers, and providing technical support for over 300 wells and facilities. Responsibilities include daily monitoring, optimizing well performance, collaborating with teams, and adhering to safety standards. Candidates should have an engineering degree and experience in related technical roles, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
As part of largest and most complex asset, the Production Engineer (PE) will be responsible for the safe delivery of production for their respective region as well as being a technical mentor to fellow PSEs and a focal point for all production engineering technical queries. As an area owner for over 300 wells, gathering and compression facilities, the incumbent will contribute to the short-term production and surveillance activities in accordance with Shell standards and guidelines.
This position is a member of a dedicated, multidisciplinary WRFM team situated within an integrated collaborative working environment focused on optimizing production and cost both in the short and medium term across the Surat basin.
Role Responsibilities Include
• Daily production monitoring and analysis of wells and gathering system;
• Daily support to field operations as and when required acting as an interface between office and Field ops;
• Accountable for FBHP optimisation and tracking;
• Update and monitor well production trends and discuss daily remedial actions with optimisation Lead, Production Technology, Engineering and Field Teams;
• Proactively develop and maintain close working relationships to collaborate across QGC;
• Provide technical support during the implementation and ongoing surveillance of technology trials;
• Ensure all HSSE risk assessments and operational processes are properly and rigorously used;
• Lead by example with a deep strong commitment to our vales, code of conduct, safety and the environment;
• Apply our standards with rigor and intervene when they are compromised.
Skills & Requirements
• Demonstrated commitment to D&I and a proven track record in supporting Shell Australia's D&I agenda.
• Engineering degree preferred in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or another technical related discipline;
• Experience in a technical position; including Production Operations, Well Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Technology or Reservoir Engineering is an advantage but not a requirement
• High commitment to safety and environment;
• Exhibits good communication skills & willingness to learn quickly;
• Capable integrator, experienced with delivering in a collaborative team environment;
• Demonstrated coaching and influencing ability;
• CSG industry experience is an advantage.
