Job Description
Ampcontrol is seeking experienced Production Operators for their Transformer workshop in Tomago, NSW. The role involves manufacturing and assembling custom-built power transformers. The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced Production Operators to join our Transformers workshop based in Tomago.
We have a modern Transformer manufacturing facility that specialises in the design, manufacturing and overhaul of custom-built power transformers, providing engineered solutions for equipment requirements ranging from the intricate to the complex.
Ampcontrol’s capabilities cater for a wide range of applications across the industrial, mining and power utility sectors.
We manufacture transformers up to 80MVA at 132kV and can overhaul and repair units weighing up to 80 tonne.

We are looking for a motivated individual who will be a key part of the transformer manufacturing and assembly process including specialised coil winding, core cutting/laying, tanking, and general assembling functions for both oil filled and dry type transformers.
The Ideal Candidate Will Meet The Below Requirements
• Safety as a core value
• Experience with the manufacture and assembly of power transformers (desirable but not essential)
• Prepared to learn new skills
• Forklift, overhead crane, and driver's license's
• Mechanically minded with strong skills with hand and power tool use
• Cooperative, flexible and team oriented in your approach
• Experience as a trade’s assistant in the manufacture of electrical/mechanical equipment - advantageous
