About the Team
The Product Strategy Team play a crucial role in delivering customer-centric products for our retail business. They are responsible for owning product roadmaps and managing the entire product lifecycle, from new product development through to end-of-life, ensuring all products comply with relevant consumer regulations.
About the Role
Reporting to the Product Strategy Leader, in collaboration with the Product Lead, the Product Specialist is accountable for ensuring we bring together customer research, insights, business data and energy regulation to ensure that we develop and maintain customer centric products that align with customer strategy and customer value proposition outcomes. Other aspects of the role include:
• Drive new product development and manage existing offerings, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with market needs
• Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for innovation or product enhancements
• Ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations, especially in consumer protection and data privacy
• Oversee individual product lifecycles, from ideation and development to launch, iteration, and retirement
• Develop new product ideas and manage existing offerings, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with market needs
About You
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in product management and development roles. With a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into insights and action. Other things we’re keen on include:
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
• Results-driven and proactive, with a strong focus on continuous improvement in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Track record of building collaborative relationships and delivering clear, compelling communication and presentations
• Strategic thinker with a strong conceptual mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity effectively
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders through strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
