Summary:
As the PDM Manager at Powin, you will play a pivotal role in defining and maintaining exemplary data management practices, across multiple systems and departments, both domestic and overseas. This role requires a deep understanding of data management principles as well as proven experience with PDM, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. The PDM Manager will need to be a proactive leader skilled in guiding process adherence and promoting collaboration across engineering, manufacturing and related teams. This role will ensure alignment with our global engineering strategies.
Job Duties:
• Organize, manage, and maintain product bill of materials (BOMs) from PLM and PDM systems
• Track files through CAD PDM system workflows to ensure alignment with PLM system workflows
• Serve as liaison between engineering (mechanical, electrical, software), quality, and manufacturing teams to facilitate seamless data integration and process efficiency
• Maintain best practices for data management, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop design BOM configurations to a specified project requirements
• Manage CAD data file references for continuous improvement and sustainability
• Administer PDM user accounts and permissions
• Generate BOMs for manufacturing purposes and manage BOMs as impacted by engineering change orders
• Perform regular audits of BOMs to maintain system integrity to drive continuous process improvements
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of product BOM creation and proactively and collaboratively identify and resolve discrepancies in BOMs
• Respond to queries from the field to help trace and identify BOM aspects
• Coordinate with international teams confirming global data practices are aligned and consistently implemented, fostering a unified approach to data management across the company
• Review assembly and BOM file structures including sub-assemblies, parts, and drawings
• Maintain escrow accounts for product releases
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience administering SolidWorks PDM Professional data management role
• Demonstrated experience in driving data management within a global cross-functional engineering environment
• Proficient in fostering teamwork and collaboration between diverse engineering disciplines and operational teams
• Strong understanding of change management processes and PLM systems and their application in a manufacturing and engineering context
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
• Strong customer and client service skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Jira and Confluence
Preferred Qualifications:
• ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) or ANSI (American National Standards Institute) experience with drawing control
• Computer science background
• Understanding of manufacturing and supply requirements in BOMs
• Knowledge of standard engineering drawing practices
• Experience in configuration management

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills. The national Average Base Salary Range is $74,000-$97,900. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance. Additional Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Short-Term/Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, EAP, 401(k), Flexible Work Arrangements and more.
