About the Job:

As a buyer you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components and services required for the production of Solar PV panels. This role play a critical part in ensuring the timely procurement of high-quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably in Solar or renewable energy.
• You will be responsible for identifying and selecting suppliers for raw materials, components and services related to solar panel production (cells, glass, frames etc)
• Negotiating pricing, terms and contracts with suppliers to secure competitive rates and favourable terms whilst ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules and minimizing delays.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors as well as evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring quality standards, delivery timelines and cost objectives are met.
• Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to manage inventory levels of raw materials and monitor stock levels, reorder materials proactively to avoid production downtime.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards and legal requirements.

About you:
• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement or buying in the manufacturing or renewable energy sector.
• Strong negotiation and communications skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency.
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
