Procurement Lead for Green Technologies

Turner & Townsend Plc is seeking a Procurement Lead for Green Technologies in Manchester, UK. The role involves supporting clients with major capital projects in renewable energy, focusing on procurement strategies and performance improvement. Candidates should have experience in responsible sourcing, supplier engagement, and a good understanding of the energy sector. A degree in related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
As a Procurement Consultant at Turner & Townsend Plc., you will play a key role in supporting our clients in delivering major capital programmes and projects for green technologies.
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing procurement support across multiple programmes, projects, and commissions, helping clients progress towards better green, sustainable outcomes across numerous renewable energy asset types.

You will also be required to deliver and continually improve clients' performance and meet targets across key capital procurement themes.

In addition, you will support the development of the renewable energy procurement services provided by Turner & Townsend and support the business development for renewable energy procurement and the marketing requirements of the wider Contract Services capability.

Requirements:
• Experience of key responsible sourcing areas including human rights, environment, health and safety, anti-bribery & corruption, and labour practices
• Good understanding of UK and international energy sector, related technologies and regulatory environments
• Experience of successful supplier engagement
• Preferably has a degree related to one of the following: Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or similar disciplines
