Procurement Director Onshore Wind – USA or Europe

CIP Terra Technologies, a division of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is seeking a Procurement Director for Onshore Wind projects to join our team.

We aim to build a motivated, diverse, and skilled team committed to making a positive environmental impact. The Procurement Director will oversee procurement and supplier initiatives for our Onshore Wind projects, with potential support for other technologies like BESS and Solar based on future needs.

This role reports to the Global Head of Technical & Procurement and is based in the US or Europe, with travel as needed. Preferred locations include Chicago, London, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Madrid, or Amsterdam, but other arrangements can be considered for the right candidate.

The workload and travel will vary, requiring flexibility. We operate in a dynamic environment that values a positive attitude and adaptability.

Responsibilities
• Develop procurement strategies: Create and execute strategies aligned with project goals and financing.
• Manage procurement activities: Oversee procurement processes, ensuring timelines and standards are met.
• Lead Contract Negotiations: Negotiate large CAPEX projects and strategic supply agreements, collaborating with legal and technical teams.
• Strategic Leadership: Provide direction for procurement across projects and regions.
• Risk Management: Implement strategies to mitigate procurement risks and ensure compliance.
• Performance Metrics: Set and monitor KPIs to evaluate procurement effectiveness.
• Market Intelligence: Gather and report market insights to inform strategy.
• Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Mentoring: Lead and motivate procurement and contract teams.
• Capability Building: Coordinate supplier engagement and knowledge sharing across projects.

Candidate Profile

Minimum 15 years of experience in EPC contracting and supply chain management within large-scale projects in onshore wind, renewable energy, oil & gas, or similar sectors. Proven leadership in procurement functions and complex project management.

The ideal candidate is strategic, understands value and risk drivers, and is a motivated team player in an innovative environment.
