Hydro Tasmania is seeking a Procurement and Contracts Advisor in Hobart, TAS, Australia. About You:
Your excellent interpersonal skills are vital to your success in this role. Your experience will also include;
• Experience in a Procurement or project/contract management role;
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills;
• Excellent customer service approach and skills;
• Strong organisational skills;
• A collaborative win/win approach with the ability to build effective partnerships within own team, across the organisation and with suppliers;
• Strong influencing skills with the ability to listen, understand and modify positions to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes;
• Problem solving, multi-tasking and analytical skills in the context of ambiguity and change;
About the role:
Within this role you will work collaboratively to complete key procurement and contract activities across the business. This role will utilise your ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and key stakeholders across the company. You will provide advice and support regarding appropriate sourcing strategies and guide others through strategic partnerships. Your strong relationship skills will ensure success in this dynamic and fast paced role.
• Managing processes for Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and invitations for tender, including tender meetings and correspondence;
• Developing and maintaining the sourcing strategies, taking in to account resource availability, work program intensity, procurement processes etc.;
• Promoting, monitoring and providing practical and simple advice around procurement processes;
• Providing professional advice and services on all contractual matters and associated business risks to manager and clients;
• Liaising with manager and Legal Team on deviation to standard commercial practices in contract dealings
• Educating peers and clients on the application of the sourcing strategy, procurement activities, major contracts and tenders.
• Establishing appropriate tender documentation;
