Job Description
Strata Clean Energy is seeking a Procurement Analyst in Durham, AR. The role involves analyzing technical data, evaluating suppliers, supporting RFPs, collaborating with teams, and addressing supply chain issues. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or supply chain management and 1-2 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with familiarity in Solar and BESS technology preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyze technical data, requirements, and specifications to determine project product solutions.
• Evaluate battery storage equipment suppliers and support negotiations for purchasing agreements
• Support RFPs to potential suppliers, receive proposals, and prepare price analysis/bid tabs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, EPC, development, and finance, to define procurement needs and specifications.
• Evaluate product solutions for alternative sources that would create efficiencies.
• Initiate and document Corrective Actions with suppliers and track progress.
• Identify suppliers not performing to Strata’s quality standards and take corrective action
• Visit project sites or vendor locations, assess capabilities, validate qualifications, and develop relationships as requested.
• Analyze market trends, pricing structures, and supply chain risks to inform strategic procurement decisions
• Support the resolution of any supply chain or vendor-related issues that arise during project execution.
• Support coordination related to vendor factory QA/QC audits and equipment factory acceptance test witness inspections.
• Other duties required by the business as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field, supply chain management or related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience within the renewable energy sector preferably in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field
• Familiarity with Solar and BESS technology, equipment specifications, and supply chain best practices is highly desirable
• Proficiency with office software, specifically Microsoft Excel or similar programs. Familiarity with PowerBI or data visualization software is a plus.
• Good understanding of financials, negotiation and problem-solving skills
