Job Description

The University of Georgia is hiring 3 Private Lands Biologists for Aquatic Ecology to support the Working Lands for Wildlife project. Positions are located in Asheville/Waynesville NC, Knoxville TN, and Elkins WV, focusing on enhancing wildlife habitat on agricultural lands. The role involves collaboration with the USDA NRCS to assist landowners in implementing conservation practices. This is a full-time position.
POSITIONS NOT LOCATED AT THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA - PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION: The University of Georgia (UGA) is seeking applications for 3 Private Lands Biologists to support implementation of the Working Lands for Wildlife (WLFW) Southern Waters Framework. UGA is seeking one biologist in each of the following areas: Asheville/Waynesville NC, Knoxville, TN, and Elkins West Virginia. This project is a collaboration between UGA and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) WLFW effort. NRCS provides technical and financial assistance to farmers, ranchers, and forestland owners/managers who voluntarily undertake conservation practices on working lands. WLFW systematically targets conservation efforts to enhance wildlife habitat on agricultural landscapes while improving agricultural and forest productivity.
