Job Description
J.P. Morgan is hiring a Private Client Banker in Falmouth, ME, to manage affluent client banking relationships and provide relationship-based advice. Responsibilities include acquiring new clients, connecting them with specialists, and promoting self-service options while ensuring compliance with banking regulations. Candidates need at least one year of relevant experience and must work branch hours, including weekends. Strong communication skills and a commitment to client relationships are preferred.
## Key Role Overview
As a Private Client Banker in Branch Banking you will be the primary point of contact for a select group of affluent clients and other branch customers, managing their full banking relationship across the firm. The role focuses on relationship-based advice to grow client balances, acquire new clients through referrals and internal/external sourcing, and connecting clients with specialists for complex needs. You will also promote convenient self-service options while ensuring compliance with banking policies and regulatory requirements.
## Key Responsibilities
- Share the value of Chase Private Client with clients that may be eligible
- Actively manage client banking relationships using an advice-based approach to ensure clients receive appropriate products and services
- Partner with specialists (Private Client Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, Business Relationship Managers) to connect customers with experts for specialized financial needs
- Facilitate client convenience by sharing and setting up self-service options to access accounts 24/7
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements
## Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated success using a value-added, relationship-oriented approach to acquire and deepen client relationships
- Minimum 1 year Branch Banking Banker or equivalent experience in financial services with verifiable success in new client acquisition, cultivating and maintaining customer relationships, and revenue generation
- If not currently registered, successful completion (or commitment to complete within 180 days of start) of the SIE exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required), and Life licenses as applicable
- Compliance with Dodd
- Frank/Truth in Lending Act requirements for Loan Originators
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
## Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- College degree or military equivalent
- Experience cultivating relationships with affluent clients
- Strong team orientation and commitment to a long-term career with the firm
## Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary determined based on role, experience, skill set and location (specific salary range not provided)
- Eligible roles may receive commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in cash and/or forfeitable equity

## Additional Information
- This position is subject to Dodd
- Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements and conditional upon JPMC review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information; felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify candidates
- NMLS registration under the SAFE Act is required upon active employment; continued employment is contingent upon timely registration, renewals, and compliance with SAFE Act requirements
- Continued employment may be affected by information obtained through NMLS or background checks
- Work requires ability to operate during branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
