Principal, Equity Capital Markets

Barrenjoey is seeking a Principal for its Equity Capital Markets team in Sydney, Australia. About the Job

Given the rapid growth of the business, Barrenjoey is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Principal to join its leading Equity Capital Markets team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the origination and execution of equity transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), follow-on offerings and private placements. • Assist in the preparation and execution of equity capital market transactions
• Prepare pitch books, presentations, and marketing materials for corporate clients and investors
• Perform due diligence and market research to refine equity positioning and assist strategic decision-making for corporate clients
• Collaborate with senior bankers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful transaction execution
• Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support transaction structuring

About You
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or a related field (including equity sales, research, law or accounting)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Understanding of accounting and financial concepts
• A drive for results, and ability to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
• Team player mentality, and ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
