GS2 Partnership is seeking a Principal EIA Consultant to lead Environmental Impact Assessments for renewable energy projects. We are seeking a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead EIA projects for renewable energy initiatives, including onshore wind, solar, and energy storage schemes. Key Responsibilities:
• EIA Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of the EIA process, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and building strong relationships.
• Technical Oversight: Review and contribute to environmental assessments, technical reports, and supporting documentation.
• Team Management: Mentor and support junior consultants, fostering their professional growth.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with regulators, stakeholders, and local communities to ensure project success.
• Business Development: Contribute to the development of proposals and tenders, helping to grow the consultancy’s EIA portfolio.
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience delivering EIA projects, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning and environmental legislation, including the Town and Country Planning Act and Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations.
• Expertise in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Chartered status or eligibility for chartership with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM, IEMA).
• A degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for sustainability.
