Pricing Analyst

Urban Farmer is seeking a detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to join their Finance team in Manteno, IL. Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Pricing Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will support pricing strategy, margin management, and cross-functional decision-making by providing clear, accurate, and timely pricing insights. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience with cost modeling, and a proactive mindset to help the organization optimize revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Management
• Develop and maintain pricing models across product lines, customer groups, and channels.
• Support the development of pricing strategies for new product launches and promotional programs.
• Evaluate and propose price adjustments based on cost changes, margin targets, and market positioning.
• Maintain documentation of pricing decisions, structures, and change logs for audit and compliance.

Cost & Margin Analysis
• Analyze product-level cost and margin data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to monitor changes in cost inputs (materials, labor, freight).
• Provide detailed margin reporting by customer, product, and business segment.

Reporting & Insights
• Build and distribute reports and dashboards to track pricing performance and promotional impact.
• Provide financial modeling support for sales, marketing, and finance teams.
• Monitor competitive pricing and market trends using available data and internal benchmarks.

Sales & Customer Support
• Assist the Sales team with pricing requests, quote development, and customer profitability analysis.
• Evaluate trade promotions, discounts, and rebates for ROI and compliance with financial objectives.
• Help resolve customer pricing issues or discrepancies in coordination with customer service and finance.

Systems & Process Improvement
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing data within ERP and pricing systems.
• Support ERP or pricing software enhancements or integrations as needed.
• Recommend and implement process improvements related to pricing and data integrity.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in pricing, financial analysis, or business analytics (preferably in manufacturing or CPG).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and pricing tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Work Environment

This position works in an office and a manufacturing environment with variable temperature and loud noises from machinery and equipment alarms. The incumbent will be exposed to loud noises and alarms from equipment and machinery.
