Pr Electrical Engineer IPP Project Developer and Manager

Hire Resolve is seeking a Pr Electrical Engineer for IPP Project Development and Management in Sandton, South Africa. Candidates must have a BSc in Electrical Engineering, 1-3 years of design experience, and 3 years in a management role, preferably in the solar renewable energy sector. Responsibilities include designing solar plants, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. The role requires travel and offers a competitive salary.

Requirements:

•Minimum BSc in Electrical Engineering.

•1 – 3 Years design experience in a work environment.

•Minimum of 3 years in management position

•Experience in Renewables

•Microgrid experience required.

•Project development experience required

•IPP Project development and Implementation (Added advantage)

•Must be registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (Pr. Eng). (ECSA)

Responsibilities:

• Ability to produce designs using CAD software (AutoCAD and Microgrids).
• Be able to design solar plants using Helioscope or similar PV design systems
• Ability to prepare and manage project budgets and cash flow
• Produce detailed quotes and BoQ with detail
• Familiar with Eskom standards and processes
• Experience in HV, MV and LV installations
• Strong negotiating skills
• Prepare and present proposals
• Generate Project BoQ
• Procure equipment
• Manage implementation of small and utility-scale projects
• Ability to develop Utility Scale projects
• Knowledge of South African Engineering standards.
• Must understand the OHS Act.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Must have own vehicle and driver’s license.
• Willing to travel.
• Willing to be away from home for extended periods of time for projects.
• Good problem-solving skills, Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work meticulously and ensure accuracy in designs and calculations.
• Good communication skills both verbally and written.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Keep abreast with the latest solar technology trends.
• Conduct applied research work in order to initiate process changes.
• Assume responsibility for engineering discipline design as representative of the operational
teams in projects.
• Ability to direct and co-ordinate aspects of the project cycle to ensure optimum
performance according to business requirements, company objectives, and sound engineering
practice.
• Deliver projects on safely, on time and in budget
• Relevant registration certificate as Project Manager with the South African Council for the
Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).
