Power Plant Operator - Leading Industry in Power Sector

We are looking for a skilled Power Plant Operator in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth plant operations, adhering to SOPs, monitoring parameters, coordinating system shutdowns/startups, and documenting changes. Key skills required are effective communication, log writing, and familiarity with DCS/PLC systems. The position is full-time with no specific degree required.
Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our power plant.
• Maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and System Operation Charts (SOCs).
• Monitor process parameters as per schedule and track chemicals and utility consumption.
• Identify impending abnormalities and notify shift in-charge for corrective actions.
• C coordinate system shutdown and start up through panel operation and communication to field teams.
• Follow guidelines received from shift superintendent through Shift Team Meetings / OMPRO instructions for enhancement of plant operations.
• Continuously monitor the panel for any significant changes in operating parameters, alarms etc. and take corrective action whenever deviation is observed.
• Document key parameter changes, events, actions taken and follow up required in the Operations Logbook.
• Retrieve relevant data and documentation from respective locations like Reims, Q, P drives.

Key Skills and Competencies
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in the working area.
• Proficiency in writing log book entries.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)/Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Proficiency in using system tools relevant to the job role such as OMPRO, SAP-IM, ELS, ReIMS etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable safety procedures including work permit system, interlock bypass, incident management etc.
