They are working on the Cutting edge of smart grid devices, creating a unique invertor system for distributed renewable energy. The company are a small and growing team with heavy backing from a larger group, allowing for them to be an agile and efficient start up without the financial risk. The product combines low-cost edge-computing nodes with intelligent backend systems to autonomously manage geographically distributed assets. These smart nodes operate reliably even in bandwidth-constrained environments and use flexible communication pathways to connect with their backend. As distributed energy resources like solar, battery storage, and electric vehicles reshape the grid, they enable grid operators to monitor, control, and optimize operations at scale.
Your new Role:
My client is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to lead the development of next-generation hardware solutions that support distributed solar, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure. In this role, you’ll drive the full lifecycle of power electronics hardware, from concept and analysis to prototyping, validation, and release to production. You’ll design new power converters and electronic modules, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, and lead hardware debugging during fast-paced NPI cycles. This is a hands-on role for an engineer eager to shape the future of clean energy through innovative, high-impact product development.
Your background:
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience and hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Electronics Engineering. They should have a proven background in high-power inverter and converter systems, ideally within the renewable energy or EV charging sectors. The successful candidate will contribute throughout the full product development lifecycle, from simulation and PCB design to prototyping, testing, and production. Hands-on experience with tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for debugging and validation is essential. We’re looking for someone with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset who thrives in both independent and cross-functional team environments.
