About the Role
Are you passionate about turning strategy into measurable outcomes? We're looking for a dynamic Portfolio Value Lead to join our Enterprise PMO and support major transformation initiatives. In this key role, you’ll work across both the EPMO and Transformation Office to drive value delivery across our project portfolio.
You’ll be responsible for enhancing our value realisation framework, validating benefits and assumptions in partnership with Finance, and ensuring execution plans are robust. You'll also track and report on benefit realisation and provide actionable insights that shape strategic decisions and maximise investment returns.
Join us and help deliver meaningful impact across the organisation and be responsible for:
• Manage and continuously improve the benefit realisation components of the framework including templates, guidelines, process, roles and responsibilities.
• Establish the validation, review, tracking and reporting capability for benefits and assumptions across the initiative lifecycle.
• Establish a process for ensuring benefits and ongoing costs are reflected accurately in business planning cycles.
• Work with various stakeholders from across the company to educate them on the process and templates, and provide coaching and guidance to uplift capability and commercial acumen
• Manage, improve and simplify the base financial model that supports investment decision making and the cost tracker that supports ongoing financial management throughout the life of the project
• Support financial and non-financial benefit identification, validation and commercial inputs into business cases and transformation initiative decisions.
• Work with the broader EPMO team to develop automated reporting to support business decisions across ELT, Investment Committee and Transformation Office. • Support the broader EPMO/TO Finance team in identifying root cause issues, and in performing ad-hoc reviews as required
How can you support the Clean Energy Transition
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have the following:
• Degree in Finance, Business, Technology, Engineering or other related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance or commercial roles supporting cost/benefit analysis, business case review, benefits realisation across a range of initiatives.
• Thorough understanding of financial and accounting concepts such as actuals, forecasts, opex and capex treatment, benefits, ongoing costs, depreciation and amortisation.
• Highly skilled in benefits identification, validation, attribution and reporting.
• Expert in MS Excel and the ability to create and maintain advanced excel commercial models and prior experience working with SAP S4/HANA and BPC.
• Experience in designing, developing and maintaining PowerBI reports from scratch, drawing data from multiple sources.
• Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation skills. Ability to write high quality executive papers.
