PORTER ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (FT EVENINGS)

West Henderson Hospital is hiring for a full-time evening Porter Environmental Services position. Responsibilities include cleaning all ancillary and public areas of the hospital, which is set to open in late 2024. Candidates should have a high school diploma and one year of general cleaning experience, including knowledge of specialized cleaning techniques and equipment. Responsibilities:

West Henderson Hospital is currently under construction and is expected to open in late 2024. When it does it will be the seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It will be located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. When the hospital opens it will feature:
• 150 beds
• A 37-bay emergency department
• Surgical suites including heart and hybrid suites.
• Endoscopy suites
• Cardiac catheterization labs
• An electrophysiology lab to treat heart rhythm disorders
• An interventional radiology/special procedures lab to treat neurological disorders.
• Inpatient nursing care units.

Job Description:

Responsible for the cleaning of all ancillary and public areas of the hospital

Qualifications:

Shift: FULL TIME EVENINGS

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

One (1) year general cleaning experience.

Technical Skills:

Floor care or cleaning in a specialized area. Knowledge in Floor Stripping and Refinishing, Carpet Extracting, Tile and Grout cleaning. Knowledge in operating Cleaning Equipment that include but not limited to, Ride on-Walk behind Auto Scrubber, Ride on-Walk behind Burnisher, Auto Scrubber/Side by Side, Carpet Extractor. Knowledge in proper Chemical Handling, SDS Competencies.

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
