ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
The Power Coalition for Equity and Justice (PCEJ) is a statewide alliance of community-based organizations empowering historically disenfranchised communities across Louisiana. Through voter engagement, policy advocacy, and grassroots organizing, we amplify the voices of those most impacted by systemic inequities, advancing solutions rooted in equity and justice.

We approach our work with a deep commitment to systemic change. We believe that communities should have a seat at the table and the power to lead. Our mission transcends charity by striving to shift conditions for Black and Brown communities and ensuring that solutions are driven by those most impacted.

PCEJ champions a bold policy agenda that includes voting rights, criminal justice reform, housing justice, health advocacy, early care and education, environmental justice, and art and justice. Whether advancing innovative legislation or countering harmful policies, our work centers on improving community outcomes statewide.

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, PCEJ is entering an exciting period of growth and reflection. With expanded capacity and new opportunities, we aim to deepen our impact through thoughtful planning, innovative strategies, and collaboration with a growing team of leaders, stakeholders, and directly impacted individuals. Together, we’re building a movement that redefines power, strengthens communities, and shapes a more equitable future for Louisiana.
