Policy Analyst

Climate Dot is seeking a Policy Analyst to research climate change policies in India, focusing on various sectors including AFOLU. Responsibilities include conducting research, modeling emissions data, and creating analytical materials. Candidates should have a Master's degree in a related field, knowledge of emissions modeling, and strong communication skills. The position is fully remote with a salary of up to INR 6,00,000 per annum.

We are looking to hire a Policy Analyst to conduct research on climate change policies in India. The successful candidate will contribute to and support several on-going projects.

Responsibilities
• Design and conduct relevant research, analysis and writing on different sectors of climate change particularly but not limited to AFOLU
• Model emissions data using relevant software tools and methodologies to assess various policy scenarios
• Acquire data from official documents, government websites, publications and articles. Make spreadsheets for data calculations, conduct data comparisons, and evaluations
• Create tables, charts, graphs, and other material for research reports, publications, and presentation to key stakeholders
• Analyse the current climate sector landscape and suggest productive inputs for interactions with policy makers
• Assist in developing relations with external partners, government agencies and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills
• Masters in Climate change, Public policy or Economics
• Excellent knowledge of the emissions modelling
• Familiarity with climate and energy policy landscape especially in India
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Should have an open and flexible mind

Remuneration

Up to INR 6,00,000 per annum

Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills.
