Position Overview:

We are urgently seeking a PLC / Ladder Logic Programmer with a strong background in industrial automation and robotics to join our dynamic engineering team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing automation processes and control systems that power our bioenergy platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement PLC and Ladder Logic control systems for complex automated processes.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to integrate robotic and automation systems seamlessly into production environments.
• Develop and modify HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA systems for efficient operator interactions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to maintain optimal machine performance.
• Conduct system testing, simulation, and on-site commissioning for new and existing equipment.
• Optimize control logic to improve process efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Document control architectures, PLC code, and automation workflows for future reference and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience with PLC programming (Ideally Emerson, but could be Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, or similar platforms).
• Strong proficiency in Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text programming.
• Background in robotics integration, motion control, and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA development tools (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk).
• Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, VFDs, and servo systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics and industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Bonus Points:
• Experience in bioenergy, bioprocessing, or chemical process industries.
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in automation or advanced robotics systems.
• Exposure to hazardous environment controls (Class I, Div I/II).
