What We Are Looking For

The Plant Utility supports SIRE's operations by completing work orders, maintaining facility and grounds cleanliness, and performing basic equipment inspections and maintenance. The position also assists other departments, and helps keep the plant in a clean, tour-ready condition while demonstrating SIRE's core values.




This position works closely with other departments to ensure SIRE continues to operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards.




Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

1. Complete assigned work orders accurately and on time

2. Maintain plant and grounds cleanliness, including trash removal, shoveling, and routine cleaning

3. Inspect equipment, perform basic maintenance (fueling, greasing, lubricating, fluid checks), and keep required records up to date

4. Safely operate cleaning and maintenance tools such as power washers, brooms, and shovels

5. Monitor the condition and status of equipment in assigned areas and report issues as needed

6. Assist other departments with loading, unloading, and general plant duties




Other duties as assigned to accomplish the safe and timely day-to-day operations within the plant.

Requirements

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Valid driver's license

Previous work experience with machinery in a manufacturing, grain elevator or agricultural setting, preferred

Technical trade certifications, preferred

Previous operation experience of forklifts, skid loaders, pallet jacks and related material handling equipment, preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multi-task

Basic computer knowledge/skills including Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)

Ability to work well with others and the ability to work independently
