Job Description

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. is hiring a Plant Operator in Hamilton, ON. Responsibilities include manufacturing asphalt products, loading/unloading materials, performing maintenance, and operating forklifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma, experience in manufacturing, and be able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends. The position requires physical stamina and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time, in-person role.
Job Overview:
Centrally located within the Hamilton Port Authority, Yellowline’s state-of-the-art asphalt terminal can produce a full range of neat and polymer modified asphalt cements capable of meeting Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO), municipal and regional specifications. Liquid anti-strip and warm mix additives can be easily added at the terminal to meet customer needs.

The Yellowline team proudly focuses on safety, quality, customer service and technical support to deliver for customers. Yellowline operates independently as a a joint venture between CRH Canada and GIP Inc.

Duties:
• Manufacturing asphaltic products
• Loading/offloading trucks/ rail/ marine
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Document production/inventory
• Clean and organize plant and yard and equipment
• Operate forklift to transfer, load, and organize materials at plant
• Shifts will involve day and night work

Experience:
• High school diploma or college diploma in a related discipline
• Computer literate
• Experience in a manufacturing plant or factory setting involving chemical processes preferred
• Mechanical equipment aptitude
• Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
• Comfort in working in a rugged outdoor environment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver`s Licence
• Previous experience driving forklift is preferred or; Ability to drive or successfully complete training in forklift and skid steer operation

Monday to Friday with rotation onto night shift. You will be required to work on different work schedules including continental shifts, weekends and be available to work overtime as required.
