Berkshire Hathaway Energy is seeking a Plant Maintenance Planner - Geothermal in Imperial, CA. The role requires an associate or technical degree, relevant experience, and strong leadership skills. • Associate or technical degree; relevant certification or equivalent work experience. (Typically three years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate or technical degree.) Zero to two years of related experience.
• Must possess strong leadership skills in order to prioritize, plan and schedule work so that a safe, efficient plan can be put into place.
• Competent in giving oral and written instruction that is understandable by all subordinates. Knowledge of applicable government regulations. Proficient knowledge of personal computer software applications, including spreadsheet, word processing and database.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret periodicals, procedures, regulations, blue prints, schematics and process and instrument diagrams.
• Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Able to conceptualize and develop creative alternatives to problem resolutions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete concepts. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• A valid California drivers license is required

• Has the overall responsibility for planning and scheduling the maintenance activities in coordination with maintenance and operations support group
• Work with maintenance staff to assure preventive maintenance is performed as specified in the program
• Work closely with the project analyst and the supply chain group to assure effective purchase of required parts and equipment, inventory and non-inventory
• Facilitate withdrawal of materials and parts out of the warehouse for the daily and weekly planned activities
• Work with maintenance staff in the development of the scope of maintenance activity for outages, major overhaul planning/scheduling, contract services and project activities
• Adhere to, support and enforce all company safety and environmental policies set forth by CalEnergy Operating Corporation
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
