• Role Description*

We are seeking a Plant Foreman with expertise in the water and wastewater industry for a full-time, on-site position located in Overberg. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of a plant, ensuring the maintenance, repair, and proper functioning of equipment and facilities. Responsibilities include supervising team members, managing workflows, coordinating operations, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.

As a Plant Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring a safe work environment.

Requirements

Grade 12 plus maths and physical science

NQF 3 or NQF 4 Operator Certificate in Water and Waste Treatment

PC level 3 with 10 years’ experience or PC level 4 with 3 years’ experience at a class C works or higher treatment plant.

Registered at least as a Class 3 or 4 Process Controller with the Department of Water & Sanitation.

The incumbent must have a strong working knowledge of treatment technologies.

Must be able to read operational manuals and other resources to apply knowledge for the effect, efficient and sustainable management and operation for treatment plants.
