About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Pipeline Engineer to join our team, supporting the safety, reliability, and long-term value of Jemena's AS2885 Pipeline's Asset Class. This role is pivotal in achieving Jemena's commercial and operational objectives by delivering engineering and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Opportunity Briefs: Identify and assess opportunities to enhance pipeline performance and safety.
• Front End Engineering Design and Project Support: Develop engineering designs and provide technical input for projects.
• Performance Monitoring: Oversee and evaluate pipeline performance to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Operational Engineering Support: Provide technical support to address day-to-day operational challenges.
• Performance Non-Conformance Investigation: Analyze and report on non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Asset Integrity Monitoring and Condition Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to ensure the integrity and optimal condition of pipeline assets.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Conduct risk assessments to manage operational and integrity risks effectively.
• Develop and maintain integrity management plans and documents.
• Execute maintenance, inspection, and repair activities to ensure asset reliability.
• Assess anomalies and develop cost-effective, pragmatic solutions to manage risks.
• Review and update risk assessments, aligning them with maintenance strategies and plans.
• Undertake project works, ensuring alignment with safety and reliability goals.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipeline engineering, with experience in risk management, asset integrity, and operational support. A thorough understanding of AS2885 standards and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
About You
• Tertiary qualifications and/or higher in Engineering.
• Certified Professional Engineer or Registered Professional Engineer.
• Solid technical experience in safety-critical industries including credibility with safety regulators.
• Knowledge or experience in the Australian energy utilities/services provider and contractor market.
• Track record of delivering engineering and technical functions including policy, standards development, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
