Position Summary:
This position will be part of the xEV Regional PE group for Electric Vehicle products and will be responsible for activity and support for xEV Allocation for North America. The purpose for the position will be to support PE activities during the Product Realization Process. (Development through Mass Production) This will include establishing budgets, investment reports, layouts, and quotations for programs related to xEV Products. Overall requirements of the position are plan, organize, and establish Investment and project planning. This position offers opportunities to work with a wide variety of aspects of the manufacturing processes, a wide variety of departments and levels of management within the company both domestic and international. Essential functions of this job include:
• Develop Capital Investment Budget for New Projects
• Lead Investment Planning and Approval process (Shin-Ei process)
• Control and Track New Model Budgets
• Support New Model Process through SASG Completion
• Assist other PE Engineers in setting up testing trials/experiments for customer/internal troubles, including countermeasure activity as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
• 4 Year College Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
• Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in CAD software. (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have transportation to and from Local facility. (Not a remote position)
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
• Work experience within automotive industry, with emphasis in electro/mechanical devices
• Knowledge of EV components such as inverters and motors
• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing
• Fluency in Japanese language
• Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:
• Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting
• Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday
• Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen
Software:
• Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience in CAD ware (AutoCAD, Inventor, or other)
• Project Management Software preferred
