Job Description

Cedar Lakes Estate is hiring a Part-Time Event Producer in Port Jervis, NY. The role involves assisting in the execution of various events, supporting event production, and providing valet and hotel operations assistance. Candidates should be energetic, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs and being on feet for extended periods. EVENT PRODUCER

Part-Time, Hourly

We host weekend-long weddings and weekday retreats during our April-November high season and other special events throughout the year.

EVENT PRODUCERPrimary responsibility of the role is to assist in the execution of CLE events with direction from the Event Production Manager and Captains. EPs must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and not be afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. TheEP has a “get the job done” attitude, is self-starter, never cuts corners, and has meticulous attention to detail. Days are long and nights are late, but the work is beautiful, fulfilling and a lot of fun.

Job Duties

Event Support

● Assist in the execution of various on-premise and off-premise events, retreats and weddings

● Understand all event details prior to the event, assist captains and EPM with a plan of execution

● Execute event set-ups and breakdowns using event Run of Show

● Support the staff primarily in the Event Production department, but also in other departments as needed, such as event planning, sales, marketing, guest relations, and front of house

● Attend weekly Event Production meetings

● Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work on their feet

Valet Support

Assist with all event-related valet needs

● Assist with directing traffic as needed

● Assist in event valet as needed. Greeting guests, managing guest keys, parking and retrieving guest cars

● Must have drivers license and clean driving record

● Act as a chauffeur via golf cart for our high end clientele

Hotel Operations Support

● Assist Hotel Operations with guest check in, showing guests to their accommodations and assisting with luggage

Requirements

● Energetic with an outstanding work ethic

● Professional, both in appearance and demeanor

● Consistently punctual

● Sense of urgency and ability to work under strict deadlines

● A great attitude and highly personable towards both coworkers and guests

● Able to work well with many different personalities

● Able to remain calm and think clearly under pressure

● A strong desire to learn many facets of the business - will be wearing many hats!

● Able to lift up to 50 pounds

● Able to be on feet/walking for hours at a time

● Able to function as a team player and to respond to direct and immediate requests from supervisors

● Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Drive and other applications is preferred

● Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests

● Problem solver with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-energy, and rewarding environment

● Background check must be performed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:
• Event Execution: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
• Driver's License? (Preferred)
