Part- Time Youth Development Education Leader

Toledo Zoo is seeking a part-time, seasonal Youth Development Education Leader to assist with the ZOOTeen Volunteer programs and lead educational activities on Zoo grounds. Candidates should be at least 18 years old, preferably with experience working with teens aged 13-17. The role requires working weekends, occasional evenings, and holidays, and involves oversight of educational and special events at the Zoo.

Our Volunteer department is currently seeking a part-time Youth Development Education Leader who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.

This role is responsible for assisting with the oversight of the ZOOTeen Volunteer programs. Although focused on educational activities at the Zoo, this position will also support other on-grounds activities, including department projects and special events. In addition, this person may need to lead educational activities on Zoo grounds.

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Volunteers and is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Training & Experience
• High School Diploma preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age at start of employment.
• Experience working with teens ages 13 – 17 preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends, occasional evenings and some holidays.
• Pre-employment screening and background check are required.
