Parks Maintenance Laborer

The City of Bowling Green is hiring a Parks Maintenance Laborer for seasonal work, responsible for maintaining city grounds and facilities. Duties include mowing, trash collection, leaf pick-up, minor repairs, and cleaning. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with 3-6 months of relevant experience. DUTIES: Work responsibilities include but are not limited to: mowing and trimming facility grounds; trash collection; leaf pick-up; preparing for funeral services; minor building and equipment repairs; cleaning restrooms, storage rooms and offices.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma (or GED) preferred, with three to six months of experience working with various light equipment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position. Age 18+.

SALARY: Pay Grade 30; $13.50 per hour; sick, vacation and retirement benefits

WORK HOURS: 35 - 40 hours/week Monday - Friday
