Who You Are &
What You’ll Do:
The individual will be responsible for the design and delivery of primary and secondary packaging for innovation, renovation, sustainability, and cost savings initiatives for the iconic Vaseline brand. You will manage multiple development projects simultaneously and end to end from creation to shelf. You will prioritize tasks based on timelines, including but not limited to: sourcing, designing for desirability and sustainability, testing, specification writing, BOM requests/approvals, and input into the artwork approval process.
You will deliver effectively in a cross-functional team environment by working with Brand, Planning, Formulation, Procurement, Quality, and many external suppliers representing Skin Care packaging to bring innovative skin care formats to life on shelf. The position will also engage with Supply Chain for manufacturing scale-up including line trials, production start-ups, cost savings, and line efficiency improvements. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members is essential.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
• B.S. Degree (Packaging Science, or Engineering equivalent) and 2-4 years experience in the packaging field, preferably in the personal care products industry.
• Broad packaging component knowledge and experience in rigid, bottles, closures, and flexible packaging.
• Must demonstrate understanding of the package development process and engineering principles; including global packaging experience.
• Must demonstrate ability to design and develop primary and secondary packaging components that meet consumer, brand, customer, and manufacturing objectives.
• Must be able to demonstrate a general understanding of project management to realize the order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities and maintain packaging commitments to project scheduling.
• Must understand consumer, business, and category needs and their relationship to packaging decisions & execution. An entrepreneurial mindset is beneficial, and experience in consumer product manufacturing is a plus.
